The anticipated initial annual salary range for someone who is hired into this position is $160,000 - $225,000.

Faegre Drinker is seeking a partner-track Associate with 3-8 years of experience to join our Investment Management Practice Group in our Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, Denver, or Washington, D.C. offices.

This is an opportunity to join a nationally recognized investment management practice advising sophisticated institutional investors, private funds, and other market participants on a broad range of fund investment, structuring, regulatory, governance, and transactional matters. The Associate will work with a collaborative, cross-office team on complex private markets transactions involving private equity, hedge, venture capital, real estate, infrastructure, credit, and other alternative investment strategies.

Ideal candidates will have substantive experience representing pension plans, insurance companies, endowments, foundations, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and other institutional investors in connection with investments in private funds and related investment vehicles. Relevant experience may include conducting fund due diligence, negotiating subscription agreements, side letters, investment management agreements, separate account arrangements, co-investments, continuation vehicles, secondaries transactions, and other investment-related documentation.

Candidates with experience at the intersection of investment management and structured finance are especially encouraged to apply. Experience with securitizations, asset-backed finance, rated note feeder structures, fund finance, credit funds, structured products, or other private credit transactions would be highly valued.

Successful candidates will bring excellent drafting, analytical, and client counseling skills; strong attention to detail; sound judgment; a practical and proactive problem-solving approach; and the ability to manage sophisticated matters in a fast-paced, client-service-oriented environment. Strong academic credentials are required.

Faegre Drinker is seeking a mid- to senior-level associate attorney to join our Private Client practice in the New York City office. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated estate planning, elder law, estate and trust administration, estate litigation and transfer tax matters for individuals, families, fiduciaries, non-profit organizations and closely held businesses. The associate will collaborate with attorneys across offices and contribute to a growing, team-oriented practice with a strong commitment to client service.
 
Required Qualifications
• Four or more years of experience in estate planning, preferably with an emphasis on transfer tax planning for high-net-worth individuals.
• Familiarity with trust and estate administration, including probate proceedings, trust administration, and gift and estate tax returns.
• Ability to produce high-quality work with minimal supervision.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York bar, or eligibility to waive into the New York bar promptly after hire.
 
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience advising clients on elder law matters such as long-term care planning, Medicaid planning, guardianships, and special needs planning.
• Experience with trust and estate litigation.
• Licensed and in good standing to practice in New Jersey.
